Biography
Sheila White (1948–2018) was an English actress who worked in film, television and stage. She trained at the Corona Stage School in London after early appearances in pantomime and the West End production of The Sound of Music.
White played Bet in the film Oliver! (1968) and received attention for her performance as Messalina in the BBC series I, Claudius (1976). Other screen roles included appearances in EastEnders (1990) as Carol Hanley and in Dear Mother... Love Albert (1969–1970). On stage she earned an Olivier award nomination for her work in a 1984–85 revival of Little Me.
She was married to theatre producer Richard M. Mills from 1983 until her death.
