Biography
Shelley List was an American writer and producer. Born in New York in 1930, she studied at Reed College and Columbia University and worked as a reporter before moving into television and fiction.
She wrote and produced episodes of the series Cagney & Lacey (1986–1988), including a Humanitas Prize-nominated story about alcoholism. With her husband and collaborator Jonathan Estrin she also wrote for Sisters (winning a Writers Guild of America award) and produced the miniseries Between Friends (1983), which received an Ace Award. List published two novels, Did You Love Daddy When I Was Born and Forgiving (1982). She died in New York in 1996.
