Biography
Shemar Moore is an American actor, producer and former fashion model. He was born on 20 April 1970 in Oakland, California, and graduated from Santa Clara University.
Moore is known for playing Malcolm Winters on the soap opera The Young and the Restless (1994–2005, with later returns), Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds (2005–2017) and Sergeant Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson on S.W.A.T. (2017–2025). He hosted Soul Train from 1999 to 2003. His film roles include appearances in The Brothers (2001) and Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005), and he voiced Victor Stone / Cyborg in several Justice League animated films. He played G.U.N. Agent Randall Handel in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024).
Moore has received a Daytime Emmy Award and multiple NAACP Image Awards.
