Biography
Sherman Augustus is an American actor. Born on 10 January 1959 in Los Angeles, California, he played professional American football for the San Diego Chargers and Minnesota Vikings before beginning his acting career.
His early film roles include Colors (1988). He appeared as the Well Dressed Black Man in The Mexican (2001). Augustus has worked extensively in television, with recurring or guest roles in series including The Nanny (1993), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), Bones (2005), The Mentalist (2008) and Westworld (2016).
He is known for playing Nathaniel Moon in Into the Badlands (2017–2019) and Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan in Stranger Things (2022–). Augustus is also a martial artist and holds a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
