Biography

Shidō Nakamura II, born Mikihiro Ogawa on 14 September 1972 in Tokyo, is a Japanese kabuki and film actor. The son of kabuki actor Nakamura Shidō I, he made his kabuki debut at the age of eight and took his stage name the following year.

Nakamura entered film with Ping Pong (2002). He is known for his role as Lieutenant Ito in Clint Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), the voice of Ryuk in Death Note (2006) and its sequel, Anno Tanaka in Fearless (2006), and Gan Xing in Red Cliff (2008) and its sequel.
