Biography
Shih Chun (also credited as Chun Shih or 石雋) is a Taiwanese actor. Born in Tianjin, China, he graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in animal husbandry before entering the film industry.
He made his screen debut as a leading actor in King Hu’s Dragon Inn (1967) and went on to appear in several of the director’s wuxia films, including A Touch of Zen (1971) as Gu Sheng-zhai, Raining in the Mountain (1979) and Legend of the Mountain (1979). He is also credited as the Young Noble in Ghost of the Mirror (1974).
Later credits include a cameo in Tsai Ming-liang’s Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003) and a role in Hou Hsiao-hsien’s The Assassin (2015). In 2012 he received a Golden Horse Lifetime Achievement Award.
