Biography
Shiho Niiyama (新山 志保) was a Japanese voice actress. She was born on 21 March 1970 in Matsuyama, Ehime, and died on 7 February 2000 in Shinjuku, Tokyo, aged 29. Affiliated with Aoni Production, she graduated from Osaka University of Foreign Studies (Danish department) and trained at Aoni Academy. Her career spanned 1992 to 1998.
Niiyama voiced Rei in the film Perfect Blue (1998). She was also known for roles including Kou Seiya / Sailor Star Fighter in Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (1996–1997), Risa Kanzaki in Gokinjo Monogatari (1995–1996), Suou Takamura in CLAMP School Detectives (1997) and Deedlit in Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight (1998), her final performance. She was a member of the voice actor group Virgo.
