Biography
Shin-Fei Chen, also credited as 陈信妃, is a Taiwanese-American actress, writer, producer and director. She trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where she gained an MA, the University of California, Berkeley, where she gained a BSc, and the Shari Carlson Studio.
Her screen credits include the role of Alexandra in Florian Zeller’s The Son (2022), Angela Chen-Boughton in the HBO series Industry (2020–), Tish Murtha in the feature Tish (2023), and appearances in Doctor Who (2005), Avenue 5 (2020) and Bulletproof (2018). She has also performed in theatre productions including Avenue Q and Three Sisters, and works in voiceover and video games.
Chen was nominated for Best Actress at the 2022 BAFTA-qualifying British Urban Film Festival and has received seven wins and one nomination in total for her work.
