Biography
Shinobu Muraki (2 September 1923 – 16 January 1997) was a Japanese production designer and art director. She was born in Tokyo and worked extensively in film, often collaborating with her husband, production designer Yoshirō Muraki.
She is known for her production design on Akira Kurosawa’s Ran (1985), for which she shared a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Art Direction. Other credits include production design on The Makioka Sisters (1983) and Ohan (1984).
