Biography
Shirō Ōsaka was a Japanese actor. He was born on 14 February 1920 in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, and died on 3 March 1989.
Ōsaka appeared in more than 160 films between 1943 and 1986, often in supporting roles. He played Keizō Hirayama in Yasujirō Ozu's Tokyo Story (1953) and Hoshino in Pigs and Battleships (1961). His other film credits include Red Pier (1958) and Forever a Woman (1955). He also worked in television.
