Biography
Shuya Sophia Cai, also credited as Sophia Cai or ShuYa Cai, is a Chinese-British actress. Born on 22 April 2008, she began working in commercials at the age of two and later appeared in modelling and additional television and film roles.
She is known for playing Meiying in The Meg (2018) and its sequel Meg 2: The Trench (2023). Earlier credits include the role of NiNi (Peng Jiani) in the Chinese film Somewhere Only We Know (2015) and Maggie in the television series Mr. Corman (2021). She received a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance in The Meg.
