Biography

Sigmund Neufeld Jr. (1931–2022) was an American television director and editor. He began his career in the late 1950s as a composer and sound editor on the series Hawkeye and the Last of the Mohicans. He was the son of producer Sigmund Neufeld and nephew of director Sam Newfield.

Neufeld directed numerous episodes of series including Kojak (1975–1976), The Incredible Hulk (1978), Wonder Woman, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Galactica 1980, Simon & Simon (34 episodes), T. J. Hooker and The New Lassie (15 episodes). He also edited 21 episodes of Kojak (1973–1975). His feature directorial work includes the 2002 film Behind the Badge.
