Biography
Simon Boswell is a British film composer, conductor, producer and musician. Born in London on 15 October 1956, he studied English literature at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He began his career as a record producer and guitarist before moving into film scoring in the mid-1980s, initially working on Italian horror films with director Dario Argento.
His credits include the scores for Phenomena (1985), Santa Sangre (1989), Hardware (1990), Shallow Grave (1994), Hackers (1995), Lord of Illusions (1995) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999). He has received two BAFTA nominations and a Classical Brit Award. Boswell is noted for blending electronic and orchestral elements across a wide range of genres.
