Biography
Simon Gstöttmayr is a German film editor. He was born on 22 September 1977 in Munich.
Gstöttmayr began his career in 2000 as an assistant editor to Matthias Dörfler and worked as an intern at the Munich post-production company Das Werk from 2002 to 2003. He has been a freelance editor since 2003, initially working in advertising and trailers before focusing on feature films and television from around 2010.
He has edited episodes of the series Dark (2017), including contributions to seasons 2 and 3. His film credits include Text for You (2016), This Crazy Heart (2017), All About Me (2018), Sweethearts (2019) and Frau Ella (2013). Gstöttmayr is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie and the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor.
