Biography
Simon Muntner was an American television writer and producer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 19 August 1930, he graduated from City College of New York and initially worked in advertising before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 42 to pursue television writing.
He wrote seven episodes of MASH during seasons three and four (1975–1976). Muntner contributed scripts to many series, including The Dukes of Hazzard (1979), CHiPs (1977), Knight Rider (1982) and T. J. Hooker* (1982), on which he also served as co-producer. He wrote more than 400 television episodes, mainly comedies, and received a Primetime Emmy nomination.
Muntner died on 3 November 2005 in Marina del Rey, California.
