Biography
Simon Rich (born 5 June 1984) is an American writer and screenwriter. Born in New York City and educated at Harvard University, he is the son of theatre critic Frank Rich.
Rich was one of the youngest writers hired for Saturday Night Live (2007–2011). He has written for The Simpsons, contributing the 2017 episode "A Father's Watch", and for Pixar on Inside Out (2015). He created and wrote the television series Man Seeking Woman (2015–2017) and Miracle Workers (2019–2023), and wrote the screenplay for the film An American Pickle (2020). He has also published novels and collections of humour pieces, several of which appeared in The New Yorker.
