Biography
Drum & Lace, also known as Sofia Hultquist (née Degli Alessandri), is an Italian composer and sound artist working primarily in film and television. Born in Florence on 7 February 1986, she studied film scoring and composition at Berklee College of Music and earned a master's degree in music technology and composition from New York University.
She frequently collaborates with her husband, composer Ian Hultquist. Their joint credits include the Apple TV+ series Dickinson (2019–2021) and seasons of the NBC series Good Girls. Solo and collaborative film scores encompass Cobweb (2023), Look Both Ways (2022), Rosaline (2022), They/Them (2022) and Deadly Illusions (2021). She has also composed for documentaries such as At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal (2019) and fashion-related projects.
