Biography
Solo, also credited as Souleymane Dicko and Solo Dicko, is a French actor, rapper, producer and dancer. Born on 26 August 1966, he began in hip-hop in the early 1980s as a breakdancer and joined the Paris City Breakers dance group. In 1987 he co-founded the rap group Assassin with Rockin' Squat, leaving in 1994.
He played Santo in Mathieu Kassovitz's La Haine (1995) and contributed to its soundtrack as artistic director and coordinator. His other screen roles include René in Simon Killer (2012) and Samuel's father in Two Is a Family (2016). He has also appeared in French television series such as Les enquêtes d'Éloïse Rome.
