Biography
Sonal Jha is an Indian actress. She was born on 29 July 1971 in Patna, Bihar, and trained at Delhi University, where she obtained a master's degree in history, and at Ithaca College.
Jha began her career in theatre in Patna and later appeared in Indian television serials including Balika Vadhu, Na Aana Is Des Laado and Sapno Ke Bhanwer Main. Her film roles include Leela's mother in Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017), Shanti Bua in Aarakshan (2011) and Shraddha's mother in 12th Fail (2023). She is cast as Sumitra in the forthcoming film Ramayana (2026).
