Biography
Sonia Hosko is a Canadian producer and production executive. She began her career in feature films, working as an assistant on Atom Egoyan's Adoration (2008) and Brian De Palma's Redacted (2007), and in production roles on Sarah Polley's Away from Her (2006).
Her producing credits include the documentary Stories We Tell (2012), directed by Sarah Polley, on which she served as producer for the interview with Michael Polley. She has produced or served as co-executive producer on Canadian television series including Rookie Blue (2010–2015), Saving Hope (2012–2017), The Detail (2018), Burden of Truth (2018) and Coroner (2019–).
In 2021 Hosko was appointed Vice President, Current at Cineflix Studios, where she oversees scripted production and development with a focus on the Canadian market. She is a co-creator of the Lexa Pledge, which promotes positive LGBTQ+ storylines in television.
