Biography
Sono Patel is a television writer and producer. A New York native, she studied at NYU Tisch School of the Arts before moving to Los Angeles.
She began writing for television on the NBC series A to Z (2014). Patel joined Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015) as a writer and story editor in its first season, later becoming executive story editor and co-producer; she received writing credits on multiple episodes and contributed to songs including "Sex with a Stranger".
Her other writing credits include episodes of Genera+ion (2021), Fantasy Island (2021) and Based on a True Story (2023). She co-created the pilot Arranged (2019) with Aline Brosh McKenna and has worked as a producer on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017), for which she received Emmy and PGA nominations.
