Biography
Sophia Olsson is a Swedish cinematographer. She graduated as a director from Filmhögskolan in Gothenburg in 2002 and studied cinematography at the National Film School of Denmark, completing the programme in 2009.
Olsson has worked as director of photography on feature films including Sparrows (2015), Sami Blood (2016), The Charmer (2017), 438 Days (2019), Charter (2020) and When the Light Breaks (2024). Her first television credit was on two episodes of the final season of The Crown (2023).
She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (One Hour) for the episode "Ritz" of The Crown. Olsson has won a Guldbagge Award for Best Cinematography for Charter and two Sven Nykvist Cinematography Awards.
