Biography
Sophie Hunger, also credited as Emilie Welti, is a Swiss singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and film composer. Born Émilie Jeanne-Sophie Welti on 31 March 1983 in Bern, she has composed scores for several films.
Her film work includes the original score for the stop-motion animated feature My Life as a Zucchini (2016, also known as Ma vie de Courgette), for which she received the Swiss Film Award for Best Music in 2017. She has additional composing credits on films such as Der Freund (2008) and Zimmer 202 (2010).
Hunger has also appeared as an actress, credited as Emilie Welti in Der Freund (2008).
