Biography
Sousuke Takaoka is a Japanese former actor, born on 8 February 1982 in Tokyo. He is best known for his breakout role as Hiroki Sugimura (Boy #11) in the 2000 film Battle Royale.
Takaoka appeared in a number of other films including Blue Spring (2001), Crows Zero (2007), Crows Zero II (2009) and 13 Assassins (2010). In 2006 he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Blue Ribbon Awards for his performance in Spring Snow. He was active as an actor from 1999 until his retirement in 2020, and was previously married to actress Aoi Miyazaki.
