Biography
Spencer Chapman (1938–2022) was a British production designer who worked extensively in television. He began his career in repertory theatre in the 1950s before joining the BBC as a trainee designer in the early 1960s.
He is credited as production designer on the Doctor Who stories The Dalek Invasion of Earth (1964) and The Space Museum (1965). His other notable television credits include The Forsyte Saga (1967), The Roads to Freedom (1970) and episodes of Tales of the Unexpected (1979–1988). Chapman received a BAFTA nomination for his work.
