Biography
Søren Pilmark is a Danish actor. He was born on 16 October 1955 in Copenhagen and trained at the Aarhus Theatre School, graduating in 1977.
Pilmark has appeared in numerous Danish films and television series, including Flickering Lights (2000), King's Game (2004), Kon-Tiki (2012) and the Department Q films as Marcus Jacobsen. His international credits include Downsizing (2017) as Dr. Andreas Jacobsen and roles in Vikings: Valhalla (2022) and Atlantic Crossing (2020). He has also directed and written, receiving an Academy Award nomination for the short film Helmer & Son (2006).
He has worked extensively in theatre, including at the Royal Danish Theatre, and is known for comedy collaborations such as Ørkenens Sønner.
