Biography
Stanley Clarke is an American composer and bassist. Born on 30 June 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was a founding member of the jazz fusion band Return to Forever.
He has composed scores for numerous films and television projects. His credits include Boyz n the Hood (1991), Passenger 57 (1992), What's Love Got to Do with It (1993), Poetic Justice (1993), Romeo Must Die (2000), The Transporter (2002) and Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016). Clarke is a five-time Grammy Award winner and fifteen-time nominee.
