Biography
Starr Danias is an American ballet dancer and actress. Born in 1949 in Queens, New York, she trained at the High School of Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet. She danced with London Festival Ballet for one season before joining the City Center Joffrey Ballet in New York, where she performed principal roles in works including Gerald Arpino's Trinity (1970), Reflections (1970), Kettentanz (1971) and Chabriesque (1972). She also appeared as a guest dancer with companies including American Ballet Theatre.
Danias performed on Broadway in the 1983 revival of On Your Toes. She appeared in the film The Turning Point (1977) as Carolyn and guest-starred as Joanna Robbins in an episode of The Love Boat (1979). Further screen credits include roles in Wishful Thinking (1990) and False Identity (1990), and a guest appearance as a prima ballerina in The Tracey Ullman Show (1988).
