Biography

Stefano Bises is an Italian screenwriter and television producer. Born on 20 July 1964 in Rome, he began his career in 1986 as a journalist at Telemontecarlo, where he also hosted TMC News. He later wrote episodes for series including La squadra and Distretto di Polizia.

Bises made his feature-film debut with the screenplay for La vita facile (2011). He is known for his work on Gomorrah (2014–2016), The New Pope (2020), ZeroZeroZero (2020), Exterior Night (2022) and Adagio (2023). He wrote the story and screenplay for the series Mussolini: Son of the Century (2025) with Davide Serino and Antonio Scurati. He received a David di Donatello nomination for best original screenplay for Exterior Night.
