Biography
Steffi Sidney, also credited as Steffi Sydney, was an American actress. Born Stephanie Skolsky on 16 April 1935 in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of Hollywood columnist and producer Sidney Skolsky. She studied at the Actors Lab in Los Angeles after graduating from Fairfax High School.
Her film roles included an uncredited part in The Eddie Cantor Story (1953), which her father produced, and the part of Mil in Rebel Without a Cause (1955). She appeared in several other films in the 1950s, such as Hold Back Tomorrow (1955) and The Hot Angel (1958), often in supporting or uncredited roles including the Book Store Girl in Teacher's Pet (1958).
Sidney later worked as a writer for teen magazines, a production assistant and associate television producer, and formed a public relations agency with her husband Rick Splaver after their marriage in 1985. She died on 22 February 2010 in Seattle.
