Biography
Stephan Kampwirth is a German actor. Born on 20 March 1967 in Arnsberg, he trained at the Hamburg Acting Studio from 1988 to 1991 and has worked extensively in theatre, including at the Schiller Theater in Berlin, the Burgtheater in Vienna and the Munich Kammerspiele. Since 2007 he has been a member of the ensemble at the Hamburg Kammerspiele.
On screen he is known for the role of Peter Doppler in the Netflix series Dark (2017–2020). Other credits include 23 (1998), Who Am I (2014), Close to the Horizon (2019) and A Sacrifice (2024). He has appeared in numerous television series such as Tatort, Alarm for Cobra 11 and Sebastian Fitzek's Therapy (2023).
