Biography
Stéphane Moucha is a French composer of Czech origin. He was born in 1968 in Most, then in Czechoslovakia. His family fled to France shortly after his birth, where he began musical studies at the age of five with the violin before training at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique.
Moucha has composed for French television and feature films, and worked as an orchestrator and assistant to Gabriel Yared on several productions. He is known for his music on The Lives of Others (2006, co-composed with Yared), When We Leave (2010), Run Boy Run (2013) and the series The Little Murders of Agatha Christie (2009–2023). He has received awards including the SACEM Grand Prix de la musique pour l’image.
