Biography
Stephanie Morgenstern is a Canadian actress, filmmaker, screenwriter and director. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, she was raised in Montreal and began acting professionally at the age of 15. She has worked in English- and French-language stage, film and television.
Her feature-film acting credits include The Sweet Hereafter (1997), in which she played Allison, Maelström (2000) and Julie and Me (1998). She is also known for providing the original English voice of Sailor Venus in the DIC dub of the anime series Sailor Moon. With her husband and writing partner Mark Ellis she co-created the Canadian police drama series Flashpoint (2008–2012). She has directed episodes of series including Killjoys, Burden of Truth and Hudson & Rex, and has received Genie Award nominations for her short-film work.
