Biography
Stephen Belber is an American playwright, screenwriter and film director. His plays have been produced on Broadway and in numerous countries. He wrote for the television series Rescue Me (2004) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2002–2003).
Belber wrote the screenplay for the film Tape (2001) and the HBO film The Laramie Project (2002), for which he received an Emmy nomination. He wrote and directed the features Management (2009) and Match (2014). He created the Netflix series The Madness (2024).
