Biography
Stephen Chow Sing-chi is a Hong Kong actor, director, writer and producer. Born on 22 June 1962 in British Hong Kong, he began his career in television with TVB in 1981, hosting the children's programme 430 Space Shuttle. He made his film debut in Final Justice (1988).
Chow rose to prominence in Hong Kong cinema during the 1990s, appearing in dozens of films. He began directing with From Beijing with Love (1994). His later directorial credits include Shaolin Soccer (2001), Kung Fu Hustle (2004), CJ7 (2008), Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2013) and The Mermaid (2016). He also served as producer on Dragonball Evolution (2009).
