Biography
Stephen Dade (13 August 1909 – 1975) was a British cinematographer. He began working in films in 1927 as a camera assistant and became a director of photography in the early 1940s.
Dade photographed numerous British features, including Zulu (1964), Doctor Blood's Coffin (1961) and several episodes of the television series The Avengers (1961). He also contributed additional photography or second-unit work to productions such as Mogambo (1953), Knights of the Round Table (1953) and Bhowani Junction (1956). His credits include both black-and-white and Technicolor films, with later television work on series including Man in a Suitcase.
