Biography
Steve Bisley is an Australian actor and writer. Born on 26 December 1951 in Lake Munmorah, New South Wales, he graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1977.
He made his film debut in Summer City (1977) alongside Mel Gibson, with whom he had trained at NIDA. Bisley played Jim Goose in Mad Max (1979) and appeared in The Chain Reaction (1980). His other film roles include The Big Steal (1990) and The Great Gatsby (2013).
On television he has had regular roles in series such as Water Rats (as DS Jack Christey, 1998–2001) and Doctor Doctor (as Jim Knight, 2016–2018). Bisley has also written memoirs including Stillways (2013).
