Biography
Steve 'Lips' Kudlow is a Canadian musician, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the heavy metal band Anvil. He co-founded the band with drummer Robb Reiner in Toronto, having played together since 1973; the group was initially known as Lips before renaming itself Anvil in 1981.
Kudlow and the band are the subject of the 2008 documentary film Anvil! The Story of Anvil, directed by Sacha Gervasi. In the film he appears as himself, performing as lead guitarist. The documentary brought renewed attention to the band, which had released the influential album Metal on Metal in 1982.
