Biography

Steve Rosenzweig is a production designer and art department professional. He graduated with a BFA from SUNY Purchase, where he studied painting, printmaking and sculpture, and later worked in newspaper and magazine production as well as assisting the painter and sculptor Red Grooms.

Rosenzweig first gained prominence as production designer on Ang Lee's The Wedding Banquet (1993). He has collaborated frequently with directors including Steve Buscemi on Trees Lounge (1996) and Animal Factory (2000), Hal Hartley on Amateur (1994) and Henry Fool (1998), and Danny Leiner on Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). Other credits include Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach (2009).

His television work includes the series The Jury (2004). He has also designed sets and costumes for theatre productions, including Hal Hartley's Soon at the 1998 Salzburg Opera Festival.
