Biography
Steve Skrovan is an American writer, producer and former stand-up comedian. Born on 4 March 1957, he grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Yale University with a degree in English in 1979.
He began his career performing stand-up comedy before moving into television writing and production. Skrovan contributed to Seinfeld as a programme consultant and co-wrote the episode "The Movie" (1993). He then served as a writer and producer on Everybody Loves Raymond throughout its nine-season run from 1996 to 2005, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series. His other credits include writing for 'Til Death, The War at Home and Hot in Cleveland, as well as co-writing, producing and directing the 2006 documentary An Unreasonable Man about Ralph Nader.
