Biography
Steve Strange (born Stephen John Harrington) was a Welsh singer, actor and nightclub promoter. He appeared as himself in the BBC series Ashes to Ashes (2008), performing in the second episode.
Strange was the lead vocalist of the synth-pop band Visage, which achieved several UK top 30 hits in the early 1980s, including "Fade to Grey". He was a central figure in the New Romantic movement and hosted influential London club nights such as Blitz. He died in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in 2015.
