Biography
Steve Young is an American television writer. He is a Harvard University graduate and a former writer for the Harvard Lampoon. He has written for Late Night with David Letterman and Late Show with David Letterman.
Young wrote the episode 'Hurricane Neddy' of The Simpsons, which aired in 1996. He adapted the book Olive, the Other Reindeer for the 1999 animated holiday special of the same name and won an Annie Award in 2000 for the screenplay. His other writing credits include Boy Meets World and Not Necessarily the News.
He is the co-author, with Mike 'Sport' Murphy, of the book Everything's Coming Up Profits: The Golden Age of Industrial Musicals. Young is the subject of the 2018 documentary Bathtubs Over Broadway.
