Biography
Steven Elder is an English actor, writer and producer. Born Steven Lawrence in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, he studied English Literature at the University of London before training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
Elder is known for his film roles as Dorset in The King (2019), Adolf Eichmann in Good (2008) and The Attorney in Skin Trade (2014), which he co-wrote. His television credits include George Selway in the BBC miniseries Apple Tree Yard (2017), Jonas Whitfield in Lost (2010), Derek McCabe in Vigil (2021–2023) and Bishop Bedwin in The Winter King (2023). He has also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at Shakespeare's Globe.
