Biography
Steven L. Sears is an American television writer and producer. Born on 23 December 1957 in Fort Gordon, Georgia, he initially pursued acting after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Florida State University in 1980. He began writing professionally in 1984 as a staff writer on the series Riptide and went on to work on shows including The A-Team, Hardcastle and McCormick, Swamp Thing and Walker, Texas Ranger.
Sears is best known for his contributions to Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–2000), for which he wrote multiple episodes and served as co-executive producer. He later co-created the series Sheena (2000–2002) and has written for animation including Transformers: Rescue Bots (2012). He has also published books and graphic novels, and writes under the pen name Buddy Williers.
