Biography

Steven Wacks is a cinematographer whose credits include the documentary Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991), the feature Passport to Paris (1999) and the documentary We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company (2001).

He holds a BA in Film from Vassar College and an MFA in Film Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he has also lectured. Wacks has worked on additional documentaries such as Nuclear Now (2022) and Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind (2020), as well as the feature Drive (1991).

He founded Twelve Tone Productions and has contributed to numerous commercials and promotional campaigns for major studios and networks.
