Biography

Stuart Millar (1929–2006) was an American producer and director. He began working in Hollywood in 1957, following experience with the State Department Motion Picture Branch and the Army Signals Corps.

As a producer, Millar worked on films including Birdman of Alcatraz (1962), The Best Man (1964), Little Big Man (1970) and Shoot the Moon (1982). He also directed episodes of television series such as MASH (1978) and Family (1978), as well as features including When the Legends Die (1972) and Rooster Cogburn* (1975). He was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Producers Branch).
