Biography
Sudie Crusenberry appeared as herself in the 1976 documentary Harlan County U.S.A., directed by Barbara Kopple. The film records the 1973–1974 strike by coal miners employed at the Brookside Mine of the Eastover Mining Company in Harlan County, Kentucky. Crusenberry participated in the strike as a member of the Brookside Women's Club, which supported the miners' efforts to join the United Mine Workers of America.
