Biography
Sujata Day is an American actress, model, screenwriter and filmmaker. Credited professionally as Sujata Day, she was born Sujata Choudhury in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
She is best known for playing CeCe in the web series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl (2011–2013) and Sarah in the HBO series Insecure (2016–2021). Day has also appeared in episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2017), Life in Pieces (2017) and The Guild (2007).
Day made her feature directorial debut with Definition Please (2020), which she also wrote, produced and starred in. The film premiered at film festivals and was acquired by Netflix. She trained in dance and performing arts from a young age and studied engineering at university before pursuing acting in Los Angeles.
