Biography
Susan Strasberg was an American stage, film and television actress. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of theatre director and Actors Studio co-founder Lee Strasberg and former actress Paula Strasberg. She made her Broadway debut in the title role of The Diary of Anne Frank in 1955, earning a Tony Award nomination at the age of 18.
Her first film role was as Millie Owens in Picnic (1955). She appeared in further stage productions, films such as Stage Struck (1958) and Kapo (1960), and numerous television series. Strasberg also wrote two autobiographies. She died in New York City in 1999.
