Biography
Sydney Blackburn is an American actress based in Dublin. Her screen credits include the role of Ben's Assistant in the 2026 Blumhouse film Soulm8te, directed by Kate Dolan, and a featured role in the 2022 Universal comedy Marry Me, directed by Kat Coiro. She has the lead role of Kara in the 2024 comedy feature American Schemers.
Blackburn trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Drama. She holds an M.Phil in screenwriting from Trinity College Dublin and has studied Irish theatre at the Gaiety School. Her theatre work includes productions of Ragtime, The Addams Family and The Apple Tree.
She is also a writer and director, with credits on short films including Please Cast Us Rachel Bloom (2018).
